Georgios Avramides is a student of the GSD MDes REBE program. He is a graduate of the Pratt Institute School of Architecture with a Bachelor's of Architecture with Honors. He has been academically archived and distinguished, as well as awarded dean and presidential-level academic achievements. Georgios has worked in the New York offices of Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill, where his time working on 35 Hudson Yards of NY lead him towards the practice of real estate. Georgios is currently invested in real estate development, while seeking to understand the synthesis of development and design.

Romayh El Jurdi

Romayh joined the Harvard School of Design in August 2016, bringing c. 6 years of experience in contracting, procurement and project management. Prior to pursuing the Master of Design in Real Estate and the Built Environment, Romayh held different engineering roles in Lebanon and the UAE, overseeing the completion of a number of residential, commercial and hospitality projects. Romayh was responsible at various times for project tendering, planning, procurement, and construction.

Romayh holds a Bachelor in Civil Engineering from the American University of Beirut Lebanon.

Chris is a Master in Architecture I candidate focusing on combining his passion for architecture with his experience as an investment professional. Most recently Chris worked as a summer development analyst at Tamarkin Co., a developer of distinctive residential condominiums in New York, where he was responsible for conducting financial evaluation and zoning analysis of potential development opportunities. Prior to attending the GSD, Chris was an Associate at Irving Place Capital where he focused on investments in the Industrial sector. Chris began his career as an investment banking analyst with Deutsche Bank’s M&A group. Chris holds a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia.

Jeremy James

Jeremy is a highly experienced former management consultant who studied architecture. Career highlights include developing the growth strategy to grow revenue from $300m to $500m for a US Fortune 500 subsidiary & negotiating the acquisition of the new art collection for the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi Museum. He was lead organizer for the 2016 Harvard Real Estate Conference, which included managers from Goldman Sachs, Colony Capital, & FREO Group to discuss growth opportunities in real estate. In 2016, he was named Negotiation Champion in Harvard Business School’s Real Estate Negotiation Challenge. He holds a B.A., University of Sydney & is a 2017 Masters Candidate, Real Estate at Harvard University.

Prior to attending Harvard University, Andrew gained design and construction experience working at Leers Weinzapfel Associates, located in Boston, Massachusetts. He worked on a diverse range of projects from interior fit out to complex industrial construction exceeding USD $35 million. Andrew was a partner in his firm’s sustainable initiatives as a LEED Green Associate. Andrew’s leadership has transcended his professional career as he leads the Harvard Real Estate Development Club as its President and Board Member Representative to the Harvard Student Real Estate Consortium.
He lives in Somerville with his wife Claire Kern, an Owner’s Project Manager at Fort Point Project Management. 

 
 

Duly Lee

Duly is responsible for spearheading the organization that founded the largest free festival platform in Latin America, called Festival Abierto, a social responsibility campaign produced under the auspicies of the Office of First Lady of Panama along with key players from the private and public sectors setting a benchmark in innovative cultural events.

An architect, artist and entrepreneur, he is owner of a solar energy company, an ashtanga yoga shala and vegan restaurant, as well as a digital fabrication shop in Panama - pioneering emerging global trends in design, health and renewable energy. 

His passion in eco-tourism as well as land and community preservation brings him to study at Harvard and looks forward to contribute new innovative development and financial models that promote the triple bottom line. 

He is up for any adventure that has positive impact in the world and constantly searching for the next tribe to collaborate with.

John comes to the Real Estate and Built Environment program with extensive experience as a project architect, specializing in leading and managing collaborative teams on mixed-use urban development projects. His approach to city-building combines finance, deal structuring, urban economics, and value-add design strategies to create vibrant and inclusive places that foster growth and innovation.

In addition to serving as the Director of Communications for the Real Estate Development Club, John is the Executive Editor of the Harvard Real Estate Review, a student-run publication dedicated to the intersection of real estate development and innovation. A licensed architect in Ontario, Canada, he volunteers on committees at the Ontario Association of Architects and the Toronto chapter of ULI.

 
 

Danlu Li

Danlu Li is a 2016 PREA (Pension Real Estate Association) Scholar. At Harvard, she served as a leader in the Real Estate Development Club, and panel director for Harvard Real Estate Weekend. This past summer, Danlu was an associate at Related Companies, working on development and procurement for large-scale mixed-use projects in the US and the Middle East, such as Hudson Yards in New York City. Prior to Harvard, Danlu worked as an Architectural Designer for two years in both New York City and London. She is originally from Beijing and graduated from Cornell University with Bachelor of Architecture degree.

Van is a current MDes Real Estate and Built Environment candidate. A graduate of Rice University's School of Architecture, licensed architect, and former associate at MC2 Architects in Houston, Texas, she brings to the GSD a critical sense of design as well as formal and practical knowledge. In addition to being a Harvard RED club member, Van contributes to the Harvard Community Development Project, a collaboration between the university’s graduate schools providing consultation services to cities with need. Her involvement includes the revitalization of the South River Basin area in the city of Salem.

Originally from sunny Los Angeles, Sam has adopted to life on the East Coast. His journey began as a undergrad, where he double majored in Applied Mathematics & Economics at Johns Hopkins University. After graduating, he's held a variety of roles across Wall St., including Investment Banking at J.P. Morgan, Private Wealth Management at Morgan Stanley, and will be interning at Goldman Sachs this summer. 

Outside of school, Sam's passion lies in interconnecting Eastern and Western cultures. His work includes spearheading several community service initiatives in Guangzhou province, and publishing a book on American student life that is currently used by 2,500 students across 8 schools in China. In his free time, he loves traveling and playing tennis.

Prior to joining the Real Estate program, Alaa was a senior associate and project manager with domestic and international experience in Cambridge- and Boston-based architectural firms. Over his 10 years’ experience, he has contributed to the design and management of a wide spectrum of projects of varying scales, including educational, offices, mixed-use and public aquariums, with a focus on sustainable and innovative solutions. Alaa wishes to further enhance his knowledge of real estate finance and analysis with a focus on development and investment. Alaa is a licensed architect in Massachusetts and Egypt and holds a master’s and a bachelor’s degree in architecture.

Ana Daniela Rodriguez

Daniela is a 2016 FIABCI (International Real Estate Federation) Scholar. At Harvard she is an MDes Real Estate candidate where she is focussing her studies in development and investment. She is also part of the Communications team at the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies where she hopes to help leaders in business, design and the civic sectors make decisions that effectively address the needs of cities and communities. 


Prior to Harvard, Daniela worked at BDG Architects in Miami, Florida where she applied her skills to a range of projects including residential and commercial construction and managed multi-disciplinary, multi-consultant project teams. Additionally, she was the Project Coordinator at iCapital PM, an international developer building its first multi-family condominium project in the United States. Daniela received a Master of Science in Construction Management from Florida International University and a Bachelor of Architecture from Philadelphia University. She is also an active tennis player and devotes her spare time to manage her non-profit organization Foundation RELIEF! providing housing for families affected by natural disasters (teamrelief.org).

Naman has been involved in researching and analyzing urban and real estate markets. He graduated from CEPT University, India with Masters in Urban and Regional Planning. Recently, in a research collaboration with a developer, he has published a book on structuring, developing and marketing affordable housing. Prior to this, he was working in a Middle-East based real estate consultancy on the residential, commercial and hospitality projects. At REBE program, Naman wishes to enhance his skills in Real Estate Finance, Economics and Capital Markets with an intention to foray into professional Real Estate Research. Away from work, Naman enjoys playing violin, snooker, chess and cooking.

Andrew hopes to apply his knowledge of capital markets, finance, investment, and design to implement urban development projects that further equity and sustainability. The purpose of his work is to allow buildings and infrastructure to create value through their functionality and holistic integration with the surrounding environment. He has written and researched extensively on these topics, including on Polis – a collective blog about cities worldwide – and on Doggerel – the online magazine of Arup in the Americas.

He holds a Master of Science in Development Planning from University College London and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from McGill University.
