Before attending the Real Estate program at Harvard, Varzan worked as a management consultant at Ernst & Young. He was part of the consulting team that focused on advising foreign private equity firms that were looking to invest in India. The team fit in as a bridge between EY’s advisory and transactions businesses: focusing primarily on commercial diligences for real estate investments – direct developments and loan portfolios. He also worked as an advisor with real estate private equity firms that were improving their portfolio companies in India.
At Harvard, Varzan gears his education towards real estate finance and development. Furthermore, he is currently serving on the Harvard University Student Advisory Committee as the representative for Real Estate and is a board member representative to the Harvard Student Real Estate Consortium. He is also the President of the Harvard Real Estate Development Club.
Varzan holds an M.B.A. and a B.S. degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, New York.

She is currently studying Real Estate Development at Harvard University in Boston, MA. Most recently, she is aiming at a vertically integrated industrial roles involving real estate investor, developer, manager as well as designer.
Prior to joining Harvard Real Estate Program, Young Jee worked as an engineering consultant in the Facade Engineering team at ARUP in the Hong Kong office, primarily resolving technical issues related to building design development. She came from a strong engineering background, and gained solid research, analytical and problem-solving skills while working with a diverse group of people including architects, project managers and engineers on many international projects.
She is also a field director of Asia Real Estate Association at Harvard. During the winter break, she was co-leading Asia Real Estate Career Trek which aims to establish a strong real estate community across three countries in Asia.
Chris is a Master in Architecture I candidate focusing on combining his passion for architecture with his experience as an investment professional. Most recently Chris worked as a summer development analyst at Tamarkin Co., a developer of distinctive residential condominiums in New York, where he was responsible for conducting financial evaluation and zoning analysis of potential development opportunities. Prior to attending the GSD, Chris was an Associate at Irving Place Capital where he focused on investments in the Industrial sector. Chris began his career as an investment banking analyst with Deutsche Bank’s M&A group. Chris holds a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia.
Hao Zhang is a 2017 FIABCI (International Real Estate Federation) Scholar. Before attending Harvard University, Hao was an Architectural Designer at Elkus Manfredi Architects. He worked extensively on design and construction phases with clients including Boston Properties, Samuels & Associates, North Star Development, Harvard University Housing, etc. He has also worked at CallisonRTKL and Werkhart International China offices.
Hao holds a Master of Architecture from Washington University in St.Louis. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional in Building Design + Construction. As a Master Candidate in Real Estate, Hao is ready to build a career in real estate development and investment.
Rishad comes to Harvard after working as a Project Architect and Design Manager in India. He has worked on projects ranging in scale from single family luxury residences to national institutional buildings. His interest in both the design and financial forces that shape the built environment has motivated him to think of projects equally at a conceptual and real level.
With his education here, Rishad hopes to work on projects that have a lasting socio-economic impact on their surrounding neighborhoods.
Prior to attending Harvard University, Ankita worked as a designer at U+A Architects, Dubai, UAE. She worked on projects ranging from mixed use developments to urban design and planning. Ankita worked as a consultant for various projects as a LEED Green Associate. Ankitas design and management experience lead her to join the real estate and development program with special interest in urban economic development.
Ankita also has a special interest in disaster relief development and management and is pursuing research in the same.
Patricia I. Álvarez de Anda
Patricia has over 14 years of experience in design and infrastructure projects, specializing in project management, team leadership and client interfacing. Awarded the CONACYT-SENER Scholarship to continue her studies at Harvard, she is looking to strengthen her financial skills to foster development in emerging markets, focusing on the value of non-traditional real estate types and sustainable development in Mexico. She is co-chair of the 2017 Harvard Real Estate Weekend.
